    Wonderful Foraging Workshop with Sven Andes last Saturday September 27, 2025

    Sven offered ABZS members information on responsible foraging practices. He shared how to identify three types of Fungi (Turkey Feather, Mitaki and Chicken of the Woods. We then enjoy a tea, a bowl of stew and a rice dish. Each one including one of the mushrooms in the recipe.

    “Nature is bountiful if we take care of it! Come learn about the wonderful things we can forage in nature from the DMV area. The workshop is an introduction to foraging with respect to the land, including how we can build understanding of our surrounding environment and cultivate positive relationships with land through the art of foraging.” Sven Andes
