Join the members of the All Beings Zen Sangha to greet the Solstice and the New Year with chanting 108 times the Enmei Jukku Kannon Gyo. Each recitation will include the big bell and some members offering full prostrations. All are welcome.
Happy Solstice to planet Earth and all its residents. For the next half year, daylight gets longer north of the Equator and shorter south of the Equator. Confirming that yes, contrary to what many people think, days get **longer** in the Winter and **shorter** in the Summer.

Saturday December 14, 2024 11am – Shuso Hossen Ceremony. ABZS 2024 Fall Shuso (head student) Seiryū Paula Chiplis receives the assemble sangha’s questions in a traditional formal ceremony marking the end of their term in the Shuso position. In person and online
Tonight we will have a short service followed by two periods of Zazen with an interval of Kinhin (5 minutes of slow walking in between). We will conclude by chanting the refuges in Pali. Please feel welcome to stay on zoom if you are able to share greetings with the sangha.
